  1. First of all, go to the drive.google.com page and make sure that you have signed in with the respective Google Account.
  2. Then select the file you want to send and upload it by tapping the “+ New” button and selecting the “File Upload” menu.
  3. After selecting and uploading the desired file, a pop-up window will appear showing the file upload process. When the upload process is complete, click the Show File Location icon to the right of the window.
  4. A little later, you will be shown the file that was previously uploaded.
  5. Right-click the file and select the Share menu.
  6. Then a window will appear where you need to enter the email address of the user to whom you want to send the file.
  7. Enter the email address of the recipient of the file in the People field and enter a small description (notes) in the box that follows. Finally, click on the “Send” button.

Google Drive Mobile Version/App

In addition to the desktop version, you can also send files through the mobile version of the Google Drive application (Android & iOS). The method itself is quite simple and almost the same as the desktop version of Google Drive.

  1. Open the Google Drive app on your phone and click the “+” button and tap the “Upload” icon.
  2. If this is the case, select the file you want to send in the File view of the available browser.
  3. After that, Google Drive will automatically upload the file as soon as the user selects the file or clicks the “Open” button (if the file you want to upload is more than one).
  4. After the upload process is complete, locate and select the previously uploaded file and click the “Three Dots” icon to the right of the file name. Then tap on the “Share” menu.
